I posted this on TT and was hoping for some input here. I know that some visit there and some dont..

    Anyways,

I have an 08 TE-610 and am looking to brighten up the tail/brake light. What replacement bulbs have you used, in the stock housings and what were the results? Where did you get it from?

If you replaced the stock set up, what did you use? Where did you get it and how do you like it?

    Thanks

Another source is Sicass Racing... I've got one of their LED taillights on my Sherco.

Had to make an adapter plate to fill the hole left by the stock incandescent light, but other than that, no big deal to mount.

On the Baja Designs LED taillight, it's a good idea to add some silicone sealant around the grommet and wires.

I had moisture get inside mine after about 2 months of riding. The moisture corroded the circuitry inside causing total failure. Baja Designs was nice enough to send me a new LED/lens assembly and recommended the silicone sealant.

Huskydude, Where did you buy that rack and rear turn lights? I have an 08 TE450 and besides bright tail/stop need turn signals and rack at times.

I replaced my stock setup with the Electrosport Stealth LED Tail Assy, and Baja Designs License Frame. Very inexpensive and it looks & works great.

The rack is a "Stock" TE610 rack. (ordered from the local Husky Dealer)
I picked up the LED turn signals at the same time. Sorry not sure of the make.
Although the haven't broke yet, they are very rigid.
Next pair of LEDs I get will be from ElectroSport
    Hope that helps.

    Update....
    Ya what Chris M said..

Thanks all for your input. Looks like I am going to route of the Baja Designs. I was wondering why the lights would go out on my 450x but now I see where it could have leaked in through the grommet.
  11. After burning up 2 BD LED tail lights I went with this one http://www.sirennet.com/newwhtisuled.html , its real fun to blind the guy behind you when you hit the brakes. For running lights I used a 10 OHM resistor and for the brake its at full power, if you really want to be seen this is the answer. Its almost the exact same size as the BD.

    Thanks.

Do you have a picture of the installed product!???

I forgot to mention that on my new BD replacement, I pulled the grommet out and filled the cavity inside with clear silicone. Be careful not let the silicone flow around the circuit board. Coat the wires with silicone and slid the grommet back in place. Should last forever once it sealed.

Also, how is the visibility from the side with the sirennet light? I know the BD has nice visibility from the side much better than stock..
  15. Here is the only pic I have right now, I know its not great. Visibility is not great frome a direct right angle but trust me, this thing is friggin' bright. The issue if you went this route is its just the LED, not the whole drop down like what comes with the BD, mine is mounted on the BD drop down. There is a good thread about this type of LED on TT in the dual sport forum, I'll try to find it and post a link, its got good pics.
