    Kelly,

I see this fella has it on a TE. Any fitment issues if I'm running the Euro LED light on my 09 TE510? Your website mentions something about bracket relocation so just checking.

AND, who makes that gas can/toolbox? That is bad ass!

    Thanks,

    Lee

No issues with the euro light. I have been working with Rotopax (.com) and have that same setup on my WR125 for 1 or 2 more gallons of gas. It is a cool setup and fits our rack perfectly.

It is a quick release and you can substitute or add more gas / tools / etc.

WOW! That is incredibly awesome! :applause:

I would think sales would be brisk on this product! Larger fuel capacity for all the bikes with no need to wait for a larger tank

    thanks Dean.

The way i have it setup now if i need 60+ miles I slap the rack / gas can on, if not it takes all of 5 minutes to remove it. So you only have to have the rack and tank on when you need it instead of a big bulky tank on all the time. I can't tell it is even on there when riding. Remember gas is only 6 pounds a gallon and you can dump it in the tank at 20 or so miles and it weighs almost nothing empty. Works great!

Before hooking up with Rotopax I hauled 2.5 gallons on the rack without issues. I could not tell it was there which was surprising as it is high placed weight. the rotopax setup is MUCH better and flexible in use.

Yes I'd say this is a much cleaner solution

I know there is a thread in this section about the product but I cannot find it. Search for fuel did not find it, 'gas' is 3 letters so that cannot be searched for.

You said in this thread 1 - 2 gallons. Is it 1 gallon per red container and 2 can be put on?

You can do that but there is also a 2 gallon rotopax (i have one)...

    http://www.rotopax.com/2-gallon-gas...gas-container-gas-can-fuel-c-1-p-1-pr-68.html

I'm working with them to do a 1.5 gallon with the same perimeter dimensions but deeper thickness which would be perfect.

Also hoping they will do the one I asked them about with a gas filler on top (as shown mounted on my bike, which would be the side to them) and a outlet to T into the main gas line and have a system you did not need to dump on the trail.

    Sounds awesome!

I like their favicon (little symbol on the url of their site).

What do you carry, or intend to carry, in the short term? 1 gallon & 2 gallon?

Kelly do you think that would work for the FI bikes?

No. Unless you found a way for it to dump into the tank before the pump.

I just ordered this setup (rack/rotopax 1 gallon) for my TE after racking my brain for a cool fuel solution. Thanks for posting Kelly!

No idea if/when the 1.5 with top fill would be available. My contact at Rotopax has this link and might check some so feel free to post thoughts. As for leakage, there is none.

Top fill would be a cool set up. It looks like if you were going to take the time and find the right tap set up you could tap that tank into the FI tank with an interconnecting hose. That is were the top fill (no need to pull off the bike) would work best. I would tap my IMS tank for that type of set up for long journey's. You could always just plug the tap hole on the IMS tank if you didn't need the range. I see a future in this if Acerbis fails to produce a bigger tank, they just need to change the filler location.

Can you post a pic with the 2gal mounted on the bike, I am about to order the rack and tanks, but if the 2gal works I won't need to order 2 1gals and the extension mount and save about $50.

Also did you just drill through you rack to attach the rotopax mount?

    Thanks

Just placed my order for the rack, still debating which tanks to order, (2) 1 gal or a 2 gal and a storage one. The first pic has a 2 gal on it with the storage, but I can't tell how far they stick out on the sides.

    Got your order, thanks

The one gallon fits the rack PERFECT and does not stick out. The 2 gallon is longer and wider (dimensions on the rotopax web site) I'll try to dig mine out soon and show it mounted up. I use the 1 gallon one.

Just got my rack yesterday and DAMN is that thing sweet. I just mounted the slats to the subframe and that makes bolting/unbolting the rack up a 2 minute job (maybe) with the 3 machine bolts on each side! Love the versatility!:D
