Had a blast this weekend. Went out to Bend and road the high dez. Good mix of fast stuff (like pinned) and some semi technical stuff in the gullies / hills. Really fun, beautiful weather, great friends, no mishaps. Pretty much what riding is all about... Jake (TXC250), Shane (CR500) me TXC450... This place is a mixture of wide open stuff... open trails... Rock gardens (super sharp lava rock)... And some tighter gully riding... Great views... All of it fun. Arms up and over the bars What kind of jackhole does this kind of crap? Super fun day
....."jackhole".... Dood- is everyone out there 9' tall? I hate bein' a midget. Dabbing aint an option! Great pics, as usual.
looks like some fun stuff! was that last pick a sinkhole or just bad ruts? i was thinking about you this weekend when i was out grooming my own trails but it looks like you had a good time. S.
We really are spoiled! That was an unreal day of riding. Sign me up for the 9' tall feather weight class. Later,
My favorites. LOVE them. Seem to workj great everywhere and i feel invincible with them (like there is no way to flat them) K
hey buddy would like to know how your 450 did against that CR500 i know yours is a beast but the CR is no slouch , you know Big L thinks the CR can out do about anything out there although he is loving the 510 he still trys to compare it to his CR apples & oranges to me. whats your take S.
Nice photos, guys! Looks like a really scenic place to ride. I love the high desert and want to spend some more time in eastern OR in the future. Keep those photos comin'! WoodsChick
About the same acceleration wise. The CR for sure has more power but really any 250 + bike pinned is pretty close in a drag race these days. They all make 40 + HP. You might have notice 2 CR500's in the pix. One was a AF500 conversion with aluminum frame. It was setup horrible and feels like a 20 YO bike. The other steel framed original CR500 is highly massaged with a wide tranny, Rekluse, pipe, coil, flywheel weight, suspension etc. Lots of money in that one and it is great out there. Works very well and fun to ride. Jakes TXC250 also continues to impress and is a BLAST. The handling is ridiculous.
Kelly, sorry I missed you out there. I kept my eyes open but with over 300 miles of trails and amazing weather we rode like crazy. Great pics! Signed a 6', not a 9' er.
Welcome to my back yard. I do feel blessed to live here in Bend. Look's like you found some good trail. Glad you all had a great time. Come back soon.
boy if you hadn't said it was bend, I could have swarn it was here. looks very similiar to some of the stuff we ride.
