For the end result of moving the bottom hoses in...are the '08 CR rads a direct bolt up to the '09 WR frame?

I know there was a frame change...just don't know if they redesigned the rad's bolt pattern/mounting bracket for the '09 frame?

Brand new FMF in against the hose, the boy is rough on stuff...

Wrapping is a good idea, heat wrap or old hose should work.

I also thought the hose on the left would have less of a chance to snag something during the off-trail adventures with the '08 setup. I'm going to stop by Toy Tech; they have both on the shelf new and do a side by side comparison.

Drop back to page 6 of this section, about half way down you'll see a post I put up about ''torque specs''...small setback and winter time. You had to have missed it...I'm always looking forward to your words of wisdom...:notworthy:

But, I'm back in the garage getting ready for 2011 racing season, Thanks for asking!

What about the 2011 radiators? I thought the hoses were moved.

The 2008 is the same as 2010 so it is bolt on.

So, I'm deducing that if the 2008 is the same as the 2010...

And since the 2009 is the same as the 2010...

Therfore the 2008 must be the same as the 2009? :professor:

As far as radiator bolt patterns...

    Thanks,

    Hey crille, how you doing...

I know the radiators are different and have different part numbers...
I know the bottom outlet locations are on the inside on the 08 and 10 and on the outside on the 09. What I'm inquiring about is the bolt pattern in the radiator brackets.

    My question should have been...

If I have a '09 WR125 and have the possiblity of getting the complete cooling system; radiators, hoses, vent lines, clamps, from a 08 CR125 will it bolt on the 09 frame? Any other clearance issues?

The pictures are of the 08 radiators; loose and on the 08 frame...

    Thanks,

It is same part nr on 2008/2010 radiators and i know some have fitted 2010 radiators on a 2009 after crasch.
2009/2010 is the same frame so it should fitt.

anyone have an '08? if so grab a tape. critical areas would be overal lxwxh and bolt pattern. i like that tucked in lower hose. if the guards bolt up sounds like ya might have a winner. maybe ping someone on the CR thread and ask them to measure them? sounds close if not right on from post #11! mreeep!

They do bolt right up to the frame. All the plastic fits. Just a few fitment issues with the hoses.

The upper molded hose from the '08 hits the coil enough to keep the hose kind of out of alignment. Really no big deal just left the '09 setup on.

The two top nipples for the small crossover hose are at a different angle than the '09 but it works.
The bottom molded hose from the '08 is a direct fit.

The biggest issue seems to be the size and quality of the '08 verses the '09.
The '08 is much thinner, has lighter gauge side plates and smaller fin openings.
The '09 has 8 tubes, the '08 has 10. The '08 took the same amount of fluid as the '09 had.

'09 on the left and '08 on the right.

Going to run them for now. But could always switch back...Seem kind of wimpy!

I would recomend replacing that "Y" pipe with a non-plastic one if you haven't already done so. My KTM had a similar setup and it cracked during a hare scramble. I didn't catch it and wasted the electronics and top end. Uptite makes one.
