Just bought a new chain and went from a 14T to 15T counter sprocket and lost my speed odometer and odometer. I wanted to see if the revision would affect the speedometer, so I attached my GPS and noticed the speedometer was registering 40mph, then 20mph then 0mph. It lights up but the speedometer shows "0mph" and the mileage stays the same. Is the pickup for the speedometer off the countershaft sprocket?. Any thoughts?

You should be able to follow the speedo cable to see where the pickup is. Usually either mechanical or magnetic on the front axle/wheel. Sounds like the speedo is getting power, so check and clean both ends of the cable. In general, if it's mechanical lube it and if it's electronic check continuity. All else fails RTFM!

Thanks NCSteve. I followed the wire from the front wheel near the caliper up to the connector and found one of the two wires broke. Fixed now and works fine.
