09 sm exaust

are the '08's and '09's exaust the same, i seen good deal on complete ti for '08 sm 510, mines an '09

They are not the same, but I did mount up a Arrow exhaust from a 08 TE 450 and all of the mounting points are the same. If you go that route, you will still have an extra exhaust hanger on the right side sub frame.

I think I will be going this route as a permanent solution very soon.

Were did you find a complete TI exhaust for? What kind and what price?

sorry to mods if its not kosher, but their in the aftermarket section
im callin monday and if they say it fits i'm jumping on it, didn worry to much about an extra bracket, etc

That Motostrano link says it's for '06-'08 bikes. I would double (triple) check it because '06 and '07 have right side exhaust whereas '08 had left side exhaust. I'm assuming this is for the older bikes, not '08.

The Arrow exhaust ofr a 08 TE 450 DOES match up, but you will need the full exhaust and not just the slip on due to where on the stock exhaust goes from the 1 into 2 design for the exhaust cannisters being different.
