Has anyone found suitable replacements other than OEM? Looking for a clutch kit for my dads 09' 310 and its looking pretty grim. I know some people have reported using CRF plates for the 450/510's but I know that the 310 and 450/510 bikes use different size hubs (obviously).

Any help would be appreciated. My father is going to attempt to order the OEM kit online today...hopefully they can find a kit for him...

Do yopu have the measurements of the plates? Here are some measurements from my TE450 / EBC CRF450 plates:

few months ago, I'd get this grabby, snatching feel from my clutch on cold take-offs, never really had it happen at full temp running. I DO abuse the clutch alot on tight sections, since I am geared so high, I have taught my left hand to be my Rekluse, this bike never dies, but the plates takes alot of abuse as I slip and feather the clutch. New Husky frictions are packaged as a set with the steels, for about $150. I got some Honda CRF450 plates for about $60 delivered, below are the specs.

EBC friction plates, part # CK1247
    Width of tab = .540 - .542 in.
Distance between tabs = .915 in. (approx)
Thickness of plate = .114 in.
Diameter of plate = 5.4 in.

Thanks for the info. He is going to try and order the kit from motosport. They do say they can get it so IDK. List price is $141 plus tax but that does come with steel and friction plates so not too bad IMO. Especially because MSRP is over $180. If the OEM stuff doesn't come through we will have to figure something else out. Right now I don't have the clutch out of the bike to take some measurements but that is just the info im going to need so thank you for that!

OEM plates are good. I thought the bottom end of the 250/310/450 and 510 were the same by the way.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that the 310 shares the same bottom end (and basically the entire engine) as the older 250 motor despite a bored and stroked jug. With that being said, I think the 450 and 510 share the same bottom end.

Then in 2011, husky came out with the new 310 xlite. So the 250 and the 310 were no longer based on the same engine architecture. Then, to further complicate things, husky took what they did with the xlite 310, and did that to the 250 lineup. Couple that with the fact that the first generation of 310 motors were only produced for 2 years makes parts availability kind of scarce....

I think you'll find SWM RS300 clutch is the same as yours. Might be wort pricing up clutch parts from them.

That may be true. But I believe there is only 1 dealer in the USA for that brand and I think its on the west coast. Maybe it is worth looking into. Thanks.

Actually, the x-lite motor came out in 2010 as the 250. the 2010 310 was still the older style motor and 2011 went to the x-lite. As far as the older motor are concerned, the 250, 310, 450 and 510 have the same bottom end but the 250 and 310 have smaller clutch baskets
