t's great that finally Husqvarna has dealers in Indonesia, so it will easier for Indonesian to buy dirt bike. I owned 2009 KTM 200 XC and 2007 KTM 250 EXCF. I love my 200 XC, it's a great bike!

Now I am interested to buy 2010 WR 250 or 2009 TXC, because now there is promo price. But I wonder how the WR 250 compare to KTM 200 XC? is WR 250 good for wood or tight offroad? I like ride on single track and tight wood.

and how about 2009 TXC, is good bike for wood? Is better that KTM 200 XC?

Please let me know, because husqvarna is still new for me (and also new for Indonesia).

    Thank you

    Welcome. :)

I'll move these over to the General forum because it does not really fit very well in the 4st forum because you are asking about 4st/2st/and multiple brands.

The 09 TXC 250 is a decent woods bike, but that is also a bit subjective to personal preference. It rides quite a bit different than a 200 XC. It's not better or worse than a KTM 200XC - it depends what you like personally.

I,ve had both bikes and currently own a 09 wr 250 , can not comment on the thumper have not owned one of thoughs . Now I will say the WR will run circles around the 200 xc in the tight stuff , maybe just my riding style but I love the WR , I live for the tight nasty stuff and the WR is unreal in it:notworthy: . I just came off a GasGas 300 and its a close call which one is the best of thoughs two , both are great they just go about it different . The KTM 200 I just never did like it I really tried but will never own one agin , KTM,s are good bikes I just don,t like,em:lol: . there you go, just my opinion . Good luck .

is there any suggest for maintenance or preparation before riding the bike?

I have an 08 TXC250 ... If the 09 has a CARB, these are very similar or ~ identical bikes expect for maybe the forks... mine's just bad A$$ ...no changes after 9K kilometers .... ~400 hrs ... No special parts ...

Very good all round bike for track \ trails ... easy to go fast or slow on ... forks will take a little dialing in maybe and the bike likes to scream for it to be the fastest ...

4 UR new bike, tighten all bolts, add water to the catch can, zip-ty the battery down or it can bounce out of its holder and trash the air filter ... IFF brand new, you'll have to change the oil quickly as it will most likely have shavings in it ..

There is a JD jetting kit for the CARB that fixes some low RPM bogging U might experience ...

Huskies engines (and suspension) seem to be always tight so the break-in time will be a little slow ...

There is an issue with the 0-ring on the slave clutch that might require a new type 0-ring ..Geo at Uptite sells them ... I'd buy it and replace the OEM one .. it is easy and might save you a break down in the woods ...

If you have the dual chamber Marozcchi forks, they'll need the air bleed out of the inner chamber possibly before they feel really good ...

If it is not too tight of riding, a 14 \ 50 T sprocket works really well on the bikes for most riding ... the extra tooth on the front really opens the gear box up and 1st will still be low enough for most trails unless very tight ... clutch skills make all this a moot point ...

Wear UR helmet and have a great ride on a great bike :)

Thank you! my TXC 250 is still use a carb, no EFI. I prefer use the carb because for me it's easier to set it than EFI version.

I will try my TXC in tight wood this weekend, and I will report you later!

I'm sure efi is here to stay and has benefits, but I'm a CARB guy ... Just don't need a single more issue here to deal with ...
