09 txc250 cold weather starting

My bike seems to be very cold natured. It starts fairly quick but takes a while to warm up and run smooth. How long do most people run the choke for? My yz250 takes about 15 seconds and its ready to go.

Those TXC250s are very cold blooded. My 310 takes over a full minute of idling before it gets to a proper temp.

They're sensitive to fuel screw adjustments. The 2010's are the same way. I dial my FS out 1/4-1/2 turn for every 10 degree drop in temp (assuming the pilot jet is correct). I normally don't need the choke for any more than 30 seconds.

I put "flexjet" screws in all my bikes so I can dial things in within seconds.

I choke mine for 30 seconds or so, then give it a high idle with the throttle, and pop the choke in at the same time. Then keep high idle for maybe another 30 seconds....then go rip it up!

usually takes at least a couple good minutes to warm up the bike,very cold blooded,you can tell when the temp drops

Pretty much the same here...30 seconds with the choke and another 30 seconds with the throttle and it's good to go. It would probably take longer if it were much colder.

In the cold they are harder to start and take longer to warm up.
I usually go for 30 seconds of choke below 60 degrees.
I then touch the bottom of the left hand radiator, when it is pretty hot to touch she is ready to rock and roll.
