All 2st 09 wr 300 resistor wireing headlight

Ok I picked up a wr 300 a few months ago.it had a box with the head light, tail light, wireing harness to the gauge and a in line resistor that's gold in color.last week I was jetting the mikuni and must have accidently pulled one of the wires off.bc when I started up the bike the resistor started smoking and blew.does any one know if I can use a resistor from radio shak.or where I can get a replacement thanks

The resistor is protection for the speedo.
