Looking at buying a leftover 09 WR250 or 10 WR300 and looking for some feedback now that those who own them have most likely logged some good miles on them.I'll be using it as a do all bike such as trails,MX track days and an occasional hare scramble.
Beside the obvious 50cc difference I believe the only other difference is the WR300 has Kyb forks and the 09 WR250 has zokes?
Questions I have are how do these bikes handle a little Vet MX track time and what kind of mileage can you expect on the trails?
Anything else you care to share be it the good or bad is appreciated.

If the 250 is a good deal cheaper (and it should be) get that. Both are very good, the 250 likes to rev EZer and has less bottom (good in the slick stuff). The 300 is more of a short shift bike with huge power. For me in the NW i think i prefer the 250 even though i currently have 4 big bore 2 stokes i like the nimble feel and ample power on the 250. If it were me and the price difference was more then $800 I'd get the 250. The bikes are close, it is much more of a personal preference thing. If you love big beastly power get the 300. If you want to dice through the trees get the 250. The 300 might be better for MX. 40 or so miles on the trail depending on how and where you ride.

Larger tanks are available so you can up that trail mileage a good bit. Other than that I think Kelly pretty well covered it.
