Im guessing all 3 have new motors, and more. Wouldnt surprise me to see a 650 type bike with a stressed frame, etc. Perhaps dual overhead 600-650? I mean that would make sense. Ty Davis mentioned the 450/510 new motors last month. Not sure when we will see these new bikes at the races, guessing later this year. I have ZERO inside info about any of this. Just having a beer and thinking out loud. Anyone care to share? I mean i've got more beer in the refrigerator.
I don't think you'll see a production version of a new motor for two more years. I think you're going to see KYB forks and B.N.G. in 2010.
After they waited to debut the TC 250 it makes you wonder if they'll just put that in the other 250's in 2010, at least the TXC.
From what I have heard the new motor will be in the TC and TE for 2010. TE will be 6 speed and FI. I don't know about the TXC. Of course this could change.
Thats exactly what I was thinking... But how about the 2010 SMQ450.. If I showed you a shot from the front you would probably puke because the headlight set up looks freeking ugly....
What? And that whole concept looks good? FUGLY comes to mind on that SMQ I guess the Q means Queer Looking.
My wants for '10... TXC 350 WR200 based on the 125 new WR250/300 - new lighter motor / frame / TC forks. TE/SM 670 with the husabergs EFI and the twin chamber 50's in a new lighter frame 670s - Same as above but a true street only version 670a - Same as above but in Adventure spec like a KTM 950 TEw - All TE's offered with a wide ratio 6 speed. factory large tank options for all models. No aluminum frames... ever.
This would be my choice. KTM and GasGas have 200's. Husky needs to offer one too. They did it with the 300, so hopefully a 200 will come next. I love 200's.
I'm sure this will be an unpopular thing to say, but... My wants for the next couple of years would be to keep the product line somewhat streamlined. I'd rather have Husqvarna do a few things really well as opposed to a whole bunch of different bikes - like ktm. How many acronyms do they have now? It may make sense to have BMW do the adventure bikes and Husky the dirt bikes for instance. Although I would miss the 610 greatly. I'm just thinking about things from the bottom line financial point of view. Maybe they could recommend another companies power up kit to bring up the 125 2st to 200cc to satisfy peoples cravings.... Maybe?
I'm with Coffee. I would like to see the product line stay streamlined and really focus on all the little details that would go a long ways to really making the 2010 product line a real good value for the customer.
