Looking at the parts catalogs I see the EFI 450/510/630 bikes all use the same injector. The 250/310 (Mikuni) bikes use the same injector, and the '12 TXC's has the new 12 hole injector. The 12 hole is the ticket for the 250/310 bikes. A thread on TT supports the 10 hole injector is the ticket for the 450/510/630, even without a tuner. This sounds promising for the big bore guys.
you can buy the injector and stick it on any EFI Husky- but the question has been- what difference if any will it make, and will you effectively be able to tune the bike with that change. Mixed reports on xlites on tuning- and needing a JD or PCV to compensate. (unless you get the updated ecu for the xlite matched for it) no ecu to match on the 250/310preXlites,450/510s as XLEnduroman points out- the guy on thumpertalk with a 510 notice a performance increase while only leaning it out a bit. Thus the "promising" aspect. He said the flowrate is the same... If adding the 10 or 12 hole could be done on a 450/510 with just adjusting Co1, co2. co3 and having all positives no negatives- I'd definitely get one.
i just put the 10 hole ( thanks to a good friend with a moto salvage business) in the 310 and it definitely changed it, it pulls hard up top, bottom isnt bad but it needs tuning. waiting on 12 hole and ECU so there will be a 10 hole for sale pretty quick!
