Hey everyone, so i love my cr125, it's a beast, it hauls and is great in single track. Anyway, yesterday i accidentally used the wrong oil (Fuchs, instead of Motorex Cross power fully synthetic 2t) to mix the petrol, at 33/1 like i usually do.

Anyway, i've never ever fouled a plug on this bike even when slow riding but yesterday i fouled my NGK Iridium plug, so i went to the bike shop and then replaced that with a cheapy's plug. About 5 minutes before i went home my bike just stopped.

This morning, i then started it to ride around my block before washing it, and then as soon as i got it on the pipe it stopped. I then washed it, and then started it, it started first kick, i let it just idle, then after a few minutes revved it, then let it iddle and it stopped like it did when i was riding the day before.

Is it possible that because i used the wrong oil that it could be the cause of fouling plugs? Maybe im using wrong fuel mixture, but i've always used 33/1 and never fouled with the other oil? What else could it be?...

Also, it has been blowing more smoke than usual so i don't know whether it's the different oil or something else.

Different oils have different burn characteristics, so it is possible that the change to Fuchs oil is causing these issues.

Try draining your fuel tank and re-filling with the Motorex Cross Power mixture. Stick a fresh plug in the motor and see how it goes.
