Hey y'all, going to install my 144 kit tonight, but I had a few questions first.

First, is their an online service manual anywhere? I do not know the torque specs for the head bolts or anything.

Anything special I need to know?

Is their a "how to" write up on this forum anywhere? I tried looking and I had no luck.

    Bike is a 2013 cr125.

    Thanks!

It's all intuitive - pay attention to how you tear it down and you'll be fine. Watch a youtube video to get the general idea if you've never done it before.

Pay particular attention to the power valve linkage. There's a bolt in a slot that, when moved, changes when the power valve opens. There's a writeup about it somewhere in this forum - some people move the bolt in the slot to get a little more top end or bottom end.

I probably shouldn't do this, but I don't torque nuts to a specific spec. I haven't had an issue with the 'it feels tight' approach.

I put my kit on the other day, it's easy with a 2 stroke, and even easier on the Husky. Just pay attention to the power valve like the guy mentioned above, and make sure you don't bend the clips and you will be fine, only takes a hour or so to get it all done.

Send those 144 cylinders and head to Josh at MAXPOWERRPMS and get the port timing corrected, and a 2 ring ultralite piston and you will be soooooooo much happier Promise! He can set the compression up for your riding style and fuel.

MaxPowerRPM in Wisconsin, that's where I sent my 144 kit before install. Josh can do from mild to wild depending on your type of riding. Very nice work and fast turn around.
