125-200cc 144 Piston/Rings

I need a replacement piston/rings. Is OEM the way to go or are there better aftermarket options?

I was told by Bill's Husky that the stock piston/ring is very good quality.

Stock Husky OEM piston's are first rate.

I used a stock B piston in my A cylinder. Top quality. I couldn't find the part# on the microfiche, I had to call (Hall's) to get it they had A B C pistons in stock.

Looks like I have an "A" cylinder. What's the difference between A-C pistons?

according to husqvarnas 144 parts diagrams the A/B piston measures 57.94-57.95mm,the C/D piston is 57.95-57.96mm,the E/F piston is 57.96-57.97mm.sometimes these pistons are also called #1,#2,#3.dan

There are a number of piston's that work well with the Husky 144. Some take head work but offer other benefits. Bottom line is that the OEM piston is one of the best forgings you can get period for any bike.
