    Hi all

I'm still in the process of rebuilding my 1970 400

The swing arm pivot bolt is 12mm, did they have 12mm in 1970 or were they still 10mm?

The bike is an ex-Edison Dye 1970 race bike, was it a factory or period mod

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

My guess is its a period mod, especially being a race bike. As Blackmouth pointed out the 1970 models came with a 10mm pivot bolt but its a simple process to drill the frame to accept a 12mm bolt, then bolt on a 71 or later 12mm swingarm.

I'm wondering what other mods may have been done to your Edison Dye 400.
