Recently purchased a 1972 250 wr, it has a 4 speed transmission, and looks to be vary original except new tires. I have not been able to find an owners manual so I can become more famliar the oil capacitys, torques etc. Any clues where to get one or a copy?

If you can find a used Clymer manual on Ebay, that will serve for the bikes up to 74.

And yours is a 5 speed.
