    Guys,
What's a good modern day tire choice for a 73 125CR? The bike has a very old Trellborg on it now - marked 3.50 x 18.

Just wanted to make sure I get something that will fit well......

    Thanks in advance!

I think the closest you will find will be a 100/100 size. Have a look at the info on this page for conversions, it is quite useful.

Does anyone know of a smaller tyre than 100/100?

One item to check, how wide of a tire will fit?
Example a Kings 100x100 18 will work on my Vintage Zundapp 125 but not Michelin, Dunlop or Bridgestone 100 X 100 18 because of rubbing the chain.
The 100 designation equal approx. 4” wide, but not all tires are made the same and rim width comes into play.
My advise is to purchase a type of tire for your riding area, I was south of Raleigh many years ago and some of the terrain was sandy. I would then go with a Intermediate to soft terrain tire. Maybe a local dealer or riding friends can give some advice on brands of tires for you area that offer good traction and durability?

PS: I have read that Pirelli is making a Vintage style tire in smaller widths, I have not seen any, but this maybe a choice?

Cheng Shin 4.10 X 18 will be a small running size also.

    I run a 100/100 x 18 Bridgestone M404 on a 73 Cr125. Been very happy with it. Ran a M606 before that and it was OK too.
