1974 CR 400 front brake

    Does the 400 have the same front brake hub as the 250?

    I'm putting it back to the standard front end somebody had put a CR Honda front end on it . I have a 250 wheel and brake plus another which is suppose to be the 400 one that is bigger is this right??

    No, The 250's had a smaller diameter brake and hub assembly.

    If you are making it a rider...the 400 front brake is stronger. I put that front wheel on my 250. The 400 uses the same shoes as the back. Jeff

    79 250WR, 74 400CR
    The 400 brake are bigger and much heavier. If your restoring to original put the correct one on. If your gonna race go with the smaller 250 brake saves weight and brakes just fine . My Husky is a 74 400cr motor in a 75 400wr frame( has the mag swing arm). It has the 250 mag hubs front and rear and shouldeless rims. my bike full of fuel is 221 lb just weighed it as the Boge shocks are about to be switched to Fox having them built now.
