    Hello,
I replaced the selector Bush and seal at the beginning of the season and after 3 races the play in the selector lever is as bad as before, does anyone have any tips to a more permanent solution or is this an annual job ?
    Cheers

I dont even bother replacing mine, once they get to a certain point they dont seem to get worse.

What are you lubing the bushing with?

I had the same trouble with the bushing on my 1976. It had the "angle forward" kick lever... One possible cause is that the kick lever actually can hit the shifter on the full down stroke. Some people kick so their toes hit the footpeg before the kick lever hits the shifter. My style let the kick lever hit the shifter (cycle the kick starter by hand or look for contact marks at about 2 o'clock on the shifter) Malcolm Smith Motorcycles sold me the 1978 "swing out" kick lever for my 1976 to solve the continual wobbly/leaky shifter problem I was having back then. Helped a lot.

Its lubed by the transmission fluid.

You don't put any pre lube? Is there any heavy scratches on the shaft that could dig into the bushing.
