So I was given a 1982 honda odyssey with a Kawasaki snowmobile engine. I've been able to find some stuff on the odyssey, but haven't had much luck with the engine. The engine is out of a John Deere snowmobile which I found a little weird. I didn't know john Deere made snowmobiles. Here is some pics. image.jpg image.jpg
Any help with the engine would be appreciated. Especially the carbs. Engine turns, and has spark. Gotta clean the carbs thoroughly. Engine is a TC440A-D202

looks like a john deere liquifire engine. kawasaki made fan cooled twins for arctic cat before suzuki took over and also had their own line of sleds. just about everyone made sleds in the 60s and 70s, but that died in the 80s massey ferguson, bolens, johnson, evinrude, mercury, and about 100 others!..twin chambers for that engine would really, really, wake it up. looks like fun. i think i would make some kind of airbox for it tho...shouldnt have to hard a time getting parts or help once you identify what sled it could be out of.

what do you want to know about the carbs? they look like older mikuni roundslides.

Thanks. I was finally able to get the carbs apart, and found them full of water. I've been able to find out that there mikuni 36mm power jet carbs. Looks like I might be trying to find some new carbs. There pretty bad! The more I've looked at this thing, the more i will be needing to fix, but hey, it was free so that doesn't hurt so bad.
The challenge is the best part!
