1983 side panel differences

    I see that the left hand side panel number plate (exhaust side) is a different part number for the 430/500 compared to the 125/240/250 in 1983. I presume the 500s are bigger, maybe to accommodate a larger diameter expansion chamber. Does anyone know what the differences were?
