Got 1st place on my CR 150! IN vet A (at 46 years young) Husky only pays $200 for senior A (would have won that to!) Put on a flywheel weight and a Scotts steering damp. And lookout!! Anyone from MN not riding a Husky should think about it the cont. program is pretty nice!! 19th OVERALL for day out of app 180 riders!! Should of done better. No excuses but should of been top 10. The little 150 should be feared as it is AWESOME!! Round II stone lake WI next weekend.

Thankyou!! For anyone who thinks a smallbore is not enough. I think you are funny and mistaken!! If my old (46) A__ was in better shape I would easily have a top 10 finish everytime! The 2 races on my 150 wr last year netted me a 11th and 12th overall! I passed alot of guys, and believe me when they hear a 150 at full tap approaching them, they get the hec out of the way! One guy came up to me after the race and said Holy Crap that thing sounds like a chainsaw!! It may be more work to go fast (engine wise with shifting and what not) but the thing is as light as a peanut andand 8 year old could start it! I rode a 2011 Kawasaki 250 4 stroke this weekend and 1/2 hour on it was torture! I wanted my little demon back!!! Now if I could lose just 10 more pounds the thing would be even faster!! Thanks. I LOVE MY HUSQVARNA !

125/144 are super fun. Jake thinks he is faster on the 125 than most any other bike. He says his special test times were on par at the beginning of the race and better than most as the longer races go on. Great bike if you are in the mind set for it.

You bet you do!!! One thing I want to point out. Last year I had a 09 125 at the begining of the season, I was getting fair results and did NOT like the fussy narrow powerbanded engine. I switched to a 150 and WOW holy crap for fun!! More grunt EVERYWHERE!!! And much much easier to ride. (for me anyways) Anyone considering a smallbore in my opinion MUST opt for the 144, unless you are a 130 pound teenager then the 125 will do. Factor in the factory bigbore kit. I wish Husky made a 200!!! Based off this engine or a 167. But believe me the 144-150 ROCKS!! Contrary to all these other guys, I run the STOCK carb and am super HAPPY with it.Rode my friends WR 300 for awhile and wanted my 150 back pretty quickly!!

I know it is funny how alot of people think you are nuts on a smallbore. I think they are nuts on a 450 4-stroke!!!

125's are a hoot. my main thing is they dont beat ya up as much and when ya have a 5th gear "oh st" moment it's easier to get back on course.

    yep- 125's are a hoot...(first husky 125 below)

We are on the same sheet of music. In 1987 I drooled over the used 430 they had at a local shop while in special forces and stationed in Ft Lewis WA. Sadly I could not afford it. Well my buddy had a 1985 Husky 125 and left it at my house (no room on base) He never rode the thing (If I remember right he paid $2,500 new for the thing in 85!) I said dude why don't you sell this bike to me since you never ride it. He said ok. $350.00 got me my first Husky ! I have umped ship several times to Gas Gas over the last 25 years or so, but have really always been a diehard Husky guy!!! I also drooled over a WRK 125 back then but sadly it was not for sale. Awesome!!

right on. that 87 430 was bada**, fast as heck...but the rear brake didnt work and turning was hmmm...sure liked to go straight though...my old hooskagiva 125 had some good legs and great top speed. heavier than our current counterparts but it was worthy everywhere. good tractability too. keep up the charge man...yer doin awesome bud.

Thanks! On a mission. And when anyone rides my 150 (even KTM guys) they like it! I had a 1990 Husqvarna 125 and it was funny the engine date was 1988 and Everything but the decals said CAGIVA on it. Worked pretty good, for it's time! Remember back then I think they even had a Cagiva 80! I was surprised because out of the 180 bikes or so. I did see at least 4 or 5 Husky's. Last year maybe 1 beside me! The only good thing I can say about the BMW stuff is you can get financing which helps. I think they are headed the right direction if the whole thing does not blow up.

Congratulations, it's nice to hear about someone as old as me having success[IMG]. I almost bought a 125/150 but opted for a left over WR250, my thinking was it might be better at high altitude and I'm not 175lbs like I was when I owned my last 125. (210lbs now) I go back and forth between my Husky and my GasGas EC200 DE and still have not settled on which one I like better.

Got 2 be honest. The 250 and 300 are doable but the new frame ergos feel ALOT better. I like Gas Gas 200's (have had 2 of them) and ALMOST jumped ship to a 6-day edition Gasser 200. Real problem was getting one. And my 22 year old son reminded me about my brand loyalty! I wish they would update their bigger 2-strokes I may consider riding a 250 then. (But I am having so much fun on my smallbore!) Still possible if I'm still around next year to do a gasser. Want to test the new ones. I do like the fact that they have a 45 mm fork.

I have Ohlins front and back on my Gasser and had them valved and sprung by LTR so it is super sweet. Les is the one that recommended the Husky to me. His reasons were that it was more tall man friendly, (I'm 6'6") they are easy to work on, (true) and that he could make the suspension just as sweet as my GasGas. I will send my suspension to Les this winter and if he gets it as good as the Ohlins I will probably not want to ride the GasGas any more.

See, I have the problem the other way. I'm 5 ft 7 inches (hec my darn sister is 5 ft 10!) and the Gasser fits me well (Paul Edmundson is 5 ft 7 in I believe) I heard LTR does super good work on suspension. I have stuck with Halls on that end and had fairly good results. But yea for you being so tall that Husky should work well (with suspension mods) My Husky's are lowered 1 inch for my short arse and it still feels kinda tall! Both good bikes and the 6-days version is probably the best looking bike on the planet !! Husky is good looking also.
