Got my ass kicked this weekend. Did a trail i have been meaning to get to for a few years. STEEP, technical, and over 35 switchbacks up a lava shoot. Grown over as I don't think many others want to ride bikes on it. I don't care to do it again but glad to say I have ridden it. One of the single hardest hills i have done ever. As usual pix make it look flat in comparison to real life. Straight up, super tight switchbacks, grown over trail that not one has ridden this year or probably several years. Come on out, I'll show you where it is and wait for you at the far end Hit 720 / expand. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU5kpNf3hNg
I love how you rode that OLD bike!! that thing is steep, trail itself looks fairly smooth except those trees laying across it. good stuff
the trail is smooth but the switchbacks are so tight you ride 30 feet, get off and lift the rear end around repeat for hours. Got an even older one this weekend an LOVE riding it too, what a sweet freaking motor (WR400)...
Dude that's an old no longer used goat trail; you guys are nuts. What did you do slide down the other side to get back down to earth. Nice pics K.
So is this state land, private land, or forest company land you guys ride on? Either way you end up riding some wild land and thanks for posting up the pics.
Looks like a fun place..... to bring your enemies! Where abouts is this? I want to ensure I dont end up there one day
North of Packwood at the base of Rainier. Spectacular views, crazy trails, overgrown, lots of lakes. Good fun. When you want to go?
Ya really Kelly with all the bike you have I can't believe you still don't have one. Great climb. Did you take any video? Last good mountain climb we did every time you stopped the mosquito would try and suck you dry. And the 4 Lt. of water I took wasn't nearly enough.
Took some, have not posted yet. here is a nice EZ trail heading towards "the hill" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSvRAJmyL7A
