I have been using the 5 gallon gas tank on my 2000 husky. Hence in order to use it I had to remove the electronic radiator fan. Been riding it for sometime now but I just wanted to see if anyone else has removed thiers and had any issues? Please let me know I would appreciate it.

Where did you get a 5 gallon tank for a 410 at?

A friend of mine that lived in Holland a few years back. My dad asked him to keep an eye out. We found 2 of them so we bought them both and had them shipped here in the states. It fits right on but had to remove the radiator fan. There hasn't been any problems but I was just wondering if anyone else had any issues. These tanks are very hard to find. Kind of a rarity I think. I have a 1998 Te410 and it too has a 5 gallon tank.

Huh, I've got a 99 410 and It's only got a 2.3 gallon tank. Way too small. I thought I read on here than a wr360 tank might fit, or I would think a 610 tank of the same vintage would fit, but I don't want to spend $400 to find out I'm wrong.
I even looked through the parts manual for my bike and while it mentions a bigger tank, I didn't think it was 5 gal big.
A 5 gal tank would really make the bike for me.

Well I think the tank from a 610 is the same size or just a bit bigger? I'm not sure. I have a 98 TE410 and the 5 gallon tank fits on it just fine. So you wouldn't have any problems. I can send you some pictures of my 2000. a 3.5 gallon tank would be ideal. I am not sure they make one for those years. You might can call Hall's Husky and ask around. I know these 5 gallon tanks I have are very rare and there isn't many out there. But then not many of us have these older bikes to my knowledge. I know another member here JCH4 has a 98 or a 99 and he too has a 5 gallon gas tank on his bike. I added some pictures. Let me know what you think and if you can see them. One tank is on my 2000 410, the other is put away for later use. I was going to put it on my 98 TE410

If a 610 tank fits, and after looking on ebay it looks like it does, then it might be easier to find one I guess. I did call Halls once and they said there was no aftermarket tank for the 410 and like you said, the factory large tanks are very rare.
