Picked up a 01 cr125 recently as a project/muck around bike. Just finished replacing suspension and steering head bearings.
Took it for a quick spin now that it's finally safe to ride and realised that it has a massive flat spot just before the top end. Bottom end feels good and top end is also strong. It's just that it dips right down before hitting "powerband".

Also chasing a clutch cable and both chain guide and swingarm slider. Anyone know of any good online shops for husky parts?

I didnt think CRs have soft spots ? ( krieg)
There is a bit of a weakness in the middle in the 125 powerband- but you may needle to play with needle height and jets to improve it
Or try the adjustable power valve spring kit

Halls has been able to get me everything I've needed for my older Husky's http://www.halls-cycles.com/
I would start by raising the power valve adjustment 3/4 of the way up the slot. take the carb apart and see what jets are in it and needle and possition.
Both of my 01's were way over jetted stock.
