I have just put electric start back on my bike the engine is turning over and has a spark but wont fire it has back fierd a cuple of times can anyone give me somet to try Thanks
No not yet that was my nxt step my mate comin to have a look for me in the week have you got any tips on cheking the timing
Luke, I did a quick check online and found that your engine appears to have come with "Digital CDI (variable timing)". The key word in that quote is "variable", which makes me think there could be quite a range of timing settings. If you don't have manuals for it you could probably find links to free downloads on this site or elsewhere on the net. JT
Luke, I ran across this statement in the General (main) 96 610 no spark thread from Robertaccio: "I recall Up-Tite Husky doing a common issue repair to flywheel/rotor assembly because the magnets actually slip within their epoxy as an assembly screwing up the timing. Verify the that the magnets are solid to eliminate that possibility." Don't know if it would apply in your case or not.
