Things are expensive in Australia granted. However the pay is relatively higher as well, particularly for manual work. Having Lived in the US, Europe and NZ I feel things generally come out roughly pari passu in the wash. It is just sliced and diced differently.

Yeah... I have my heart set on a 610 now though. There are no 630's for sale at all basically, and I really dont want to buy a terra. The 610 should cover all of the bases nicely but not perfectly. But it is probably the BEST bike for all forms of riding that I want to do.

The 2009 bike listed in the first post needs more sloosing as i think it may have had a dash change affecting the kilometers, but will get to the bottom of that today.

If that all goes to plan we are driving a 1400km round trip to pick it up thursday. Hope today brings good news.

If you do any street riding at all you will need a seat concepts gel seat for sure!

I probably should clarify street riding - I love fanging around to and from work where i can. WR300 not at all, but my old 510 i would ride around on the road just for fun. No worries there. Its all in town riding at 60km/h so its not really 'commuting' as such. just a quick blat to work.

Now, the GOOD tracks up here are about 30km from my house, and you can either go dirt way or road. i would love to ride up there on the dirt and then perhaps putt home on the road no worries. Thats the only road riding she will get.

If this one pulls through, i will be doing cam chain, clutch washers, and kush drive sprocket. That and a full strip down service.

bike fell through. after much research i worked out the dash had been replaced at 14,000kms. that makes the bike 24,000kms old. dont think trading mine is good at all. dammit. looking at te630s as well but there is none. no 610s and 630s....

That sucks! How did you work it out that the speedo was replaced? If they where trying to pass it of as a bike with half the mileage, I would never trust them again. Really how hard is it to be honest? Sucks when people blantently lie!

Found out through researching, ringing dealers in brissy to see if they had a 610 through for servicing, got previous owners name etc. Service history at one company didnt mesh up, was only till the blokes rang the previous owner and asked that he said yeah dash was replaced at 14,000kms. (plus extra 10,000 on new dash).
