Anybody know if a set of 17" SM wheels from a 2006 610SM could be adapted to fit a 2000 TE610e? I see from Hall's hub and axle pn's for 2006 and 2000 SM's are not the same. I can do machine work if need to make this work.

The axle size is smaller in the 2000 models.

All these questions because someone is selling 06 SM wheels on EBay.
Yup, the front axle is smaller on the 00 vs the 06.
    My 2000 TE610e has a 20mm front axle and 25mm rear axle.
From Hall's an 06SM has 25mm front axle and 25mm rear axle.
It looks like you could use a different size bearing in the fromt with a 20mm ID ( 6004 ) but it is 3mm wider than std. brg. ( 6905). This would mean the snap ring on the brake side could not be used and the 06 seals could not be used. Anybody think ya gota have these? The bearings would be rubber sealed.
