hi names jim,to cut along story short I bought the bike for a song, the guy who owned it was sleeping with a married women, the husband found out and set fire to his garage, its only minor damage but the wiring has been melted so would like to make a new wiring harness(loom) but how ever I can only get a manual for cr/wr that only shows so much it doesn't show the servo for the powervalves and battery and only 1 wire for the reg/rec as I have four and it doesn't show the fuse diagram as I have 3 fuses anybody have a wiring diagram thanks very much jim

I just hate electrics full stop. They make no sense to me and keep blowing up my bulbs

blowing up bulbs is a big chance that it is a regulator problem.

I would assume it because I fitted led indicators then fitted an adjustable relay to control the speed they flashed. My two month old ring bulb blew main beam and now only works on high beam, whereas the original five year old bulb was still going strong before I changed it. Could this be the reason why it blew? I would have thought the lighting system was on a separate circuit to the indicator one

no the indicator unit feeds from the same supply as the light bulbs

So if this blinker unit putting spikes on the electrical circuit it will directly provide these spikes to the other lamps also
it would take some more advanced measurements to determine what exactly the problem is and then we can find a solution for it

the battery is in general a buffering force Current wise yet for voltage it works different.

thanks robert-jan, you're always helpful. I fitted a new bulb today and wrote milage down, going to see how long it lasts for, good thing is its exactly the same as a chinese supermoto so was only£1.90 :D don't mind so much if it only cost that but some proper bulbs are 15 pounds upwards

Dude you don't need indictors on a bike for Mot if they're not fitted.
Do yourself a favour and forget about them remove flasher an your issues are gone.

I'm always looking over my shoulder. It's a very good habit too get into.

Yeah there is that I suppose.
But as long as your not a complete tosser towards them they are often lenient.

Re wiring yup I hate wiring too but I look at it like they're pipes carrying water the specific circuit is for one thing supply.
They all need an earth they all need power and most need a switch.... just got your work cut out for you.
P.s. some melted rubbers and metals are less than good for you!

I've never had indicators on my husky :D not like anyone else uses them in their cars! Only got them working on xt for when I take my gf on the back, so many cunts out there man, I had a massive taxi tailgating us at 40 mph like a foot from behind her, she couldn't tell he was there but I could in the mirrors

If that happens again, slow down gently an let the dick overtake.
Experience on the road teaches me to just let them go.
