I took off my right side cover to install a Rekluse. When it came off I noticed damage to the end of the oil pump shaft. Is this end a part of the crank? Can it be replaced without slitting the case? Anybody think I should just run with it the way it is (till it fails and the motor seizes)? Looking for good news here, but I am not hopeful. Got a TAT trip planned for this summer and really do not want to push the bike the length of the trail.. Mike PS. Mental note to take pump apart when replacing right side cover. I still have not found the fragments.
