Hi all, I took apart my reed box and found some damage to the reeds. Can anyone tell me from the pictures the model of it? It is a bit confusing, I know it is not a 3, but I've read comments about a delta 2 and delta 1. Not sure what this is, but it is the original box that came with my WR250 (2006).
I cannot see any light, but I've had some trouble with my cold starts (hope mainly to the original 15 size pilot) but I can see damage at the corners and want to order new reeds to replace the old ones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I finally discovered what the problem was with starting my bike. I had a stupid pilot size 15, which is what the bike was shipped out to comply with emissions. I got a 32.5 and starts on the second kick, no matter what the temperature is.
Would anyone know what the air screw setting would be, to start from? I was playing a bit with it, but I did not have the bike fully warmed up.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Ed check the 2 stroke jetting thread.
Usually the air screw should be 1 1/2 turns out any more or less you need to adjust your jets.

Update, I got too excited and got into the trails without adjusting the air screw... I fouled my plug, and did not bring one with me, or a wrench. I had to push back the bike for 4.1 km, some of it through the trails, some of it on the road. I was fuming!!!, but i got to change the plug, adjusted the air screw, and now it runs better than ever before. the bike starts right away, only choke and brrrrappp!. I'm aching though.

Next time you forget a plug try the old gas wash trick. Pop the fuel line off the carb and rinse plug. Use anything you can find, flat screwdriver, pocket knife, heck even a stick and scrape as much fouling off as you can on the electrode and tip. Rinse with gas again and blow on it til it's dry.

It takes just a couple of minutes and beats the hell outta pushing. Of course now that you did all that Murphys Law states that you'll never have that problem again.

That is exactly what happened. I usually have the wrench and the plug together, and most of the time a bit of sand paper to have one more chance to make it back. The stupid thing I did was to go out with a much larger pilot and not adjusting the air screw... I;m sure it will happen again. Excitement erases my memory every time!!! it was nice to get the season going, now I'm all set.
