Just picked one up today. It's a little rough, but he price was right, and it runs great. Only problem is a lean bog when you crack the throttle hard at low RPM, maybe this is the bog I've read about? Anyway, I know little about the WR/CR before about 2010. Who can tell me about the 07's? The good, the bad, and maybe what stuff interchanges with my 2011 CR?

Congrat's on the find, it doesn't look too bad so far. Those aren't the stock triple clamps, eh? What's the story? Were they riding it with the clutch cable like that
I'm not much help, I can't keep track of parts crossover.

They aren't the stock triples? I have no idea. Yes, there are a few beauties like that clutch cable. The kid wasn't a bike guy, he bought it to ride around the farm, owned it a couple of years and don't think he rode it much. Anxious to try it out in the woods. I have a spare 144 setup, and spare fatty that I might try later

Play with the airscrew and see if you can take away some of that bog.

It's only a 125 and there is not much bottom to begin with. a hi -compression 144 will eliminate a lot of it.

It actually makes decent low end power. The bog gets better as it warms up, and is even better when the choke is pulled out, so it's looking for more fuel. Noticed the pipe is a lot different than the stock one on my 11 bike. Might try some mix and matching to see what happens

Maybe a bit of varnish on the pilot effectively sizing it down and making that low speed circuit lean? Carb cleaning is never a bad idea

I bet you will eliminate bog with a newer version 5 port 125 cylinder with fresh piston and rings
    I did that with my 08 .

I like the older frame more than newer probably - feels good to me
Other than frame/tank , carb and cylinder everything is the much the same
    I liked the marzocchis too

08 was last year for that era 125
motor stayed same but frame, plastic pipe etc changed.
most changes impacted by use of a 95% scale 4 stroke dimension frame.

Are you talking new or old frames
Old 125s are smaller than 300s, pre 08 450/510s. Same tank and plastics though . The 300 is a very tight fit in my trailer. - id say inch or two longer than 125
Id say new 125 frame is smaller than 4 stoke frame - not sure
Maybe the swing arm is longer on 4 stroke

My '07 WR125 has been a blast to ride..bought it used 6 years ago and it is still going strong .I did the power valve adjustment spoke about here on C/H ,got rid of the Pro Circuit and went full FMF and used WallyBeans valve spring combo to get the power where I needed it...going for the Lectron...after I heal up from knee surgery and save some cash. Don't go with the 110/100X18 rear ...my mistake, made the bog more noticeable. Looks like someone painted frame..mines silver....pic of mine, still can't decide on graphics IMG_2664.jpg

6 years and still can't decide on graphics  Bike looks great, you'll love the Lectron, but does need some numbers and a big H on the tank
I just recently noticed the older ones have the rear master cyl on the outside of the swingarm
