Ok so my son traded a klx110 for a 2008 TE 250. The bottom end was blown up, but we figured that the bike was running when that happened. we had the crank rebuilt, but when i turn the key, i get nothing. I have been able to ground the power and DC relays to get them to click on. I can give artificial power to the starter relay to turn the starter over. I get intermittent spark, but never fuel pump or injector pulse. DOES ANYBODY have a CLEAR and readable schematic of this bike that has matching wire colors? I downloaded a manual from manuals.lib. its close, but too fuzzy to read and the wire colors are different on many circuits. I just need three things, spark, injection and pump....don't care about lights etc. at this point. any experts out there? I'm at a dead end.

forgot to mention, as my title states..it has a hacked harness...HOWEVER, the main harness is fine, but several connectors that attach to the harness under the headlight are cut. many dead ended wires. this is why i so desperately need an accurate shematic.

Sorry that nobody seems to be able to help you out. When I am faced with these kinds of electrical problems and I don't have any technical references to guide me, I break out the old multi meter and start figuring out which switches work and which don't. Then I start doing some temporary pairing between switches, relays and electrical items until I figure out what needs to be wired to what. Then I figure out just how I want to wire things. One time i bought a bike that had a kill switch problem, and the OEM wiring harness was such a nightmare that I picked all the electrical items that I needed to be hooked up, snipped them loose from the main harness, threw the main harness away and started over.

that's exactly what i did. I started powering up the relays, tracing wires...staring at a blurry unreadable schematic etc. I have all the systens powering up now...fuel pump, injector, tps, brake lights turn signals etc. the last piece of the puzzle im missing is the pinouts for the Mikuni ECU...anyone have this info?? Unless I provide artificial power to the "POW" relay, it shuts off seconds after the key is turned on. the ECU provieds ground for this relay and its clearly shutting it off after a few seconds...hmmm it works then it doesnt

BTW DIRTDAME thank you for your reply

    Hello,
The wiring diagram in the workshop manual is corrupt and blurry.
If you in stead find the Owners manual there is the same full TE schema but it's crystal clear with color coding.
I printed it in A0 an that was a really good piece of support, I also have a TE250-2008 where electric system has been destroyed hence I bougt a new (old) harness but that was with a different ECU.
