2008 Te250 athena kit

    My dad has just installed a 300 kit on his 2008 te250. Since the install the bike is running terribly. It starts and idles, but then pops and carries on through the mid. He has tried it with and without the little box (what does the box do) and it's made no difference.
    Anyone done the kit on a 2008?

    Sorry to hear your having problems. I installed the Athena 310 on my 08 a year ago and it has been flawless. I am sure the e-box that came with it is a must and maybe you missed something in the instructions.

    When you install the little box are the red and green lights meant to be on on the instruments? We just checked tdc and cam timing, no problems there.

    I just went out and started the bike. The red light is solid and the greenlight flickers. These are the lights on the side of the e-box that comes with the kit. Hope that helps.
