Howard, I was out in Fence lake this past December, thought of looking you up but we were Elk hunting and driving from the house in Reserve to Fence Lake each day leaving long before sun up and getting back late. Perhaps next year? NM is a great place to get out and explore.

Long story, but ended up empty handed. After three days of hunting I knew were they were crossing, on that morning a 15 year old kid shot before sun up because he and his dad thought we were going to spook the elk away from them, as it turns out after the three shots (none landed) the elk never came back There is always next year, It is not always about getting a elk, my hunting partner is getting up in the years and it is great to just spent time with him. Elk or no elk NM is a place I never get tired of. Dan L
