Just picked it up. Sweet bike. I have the run down on crossover tube, metal "Y", lighter fork springs, etc. Lets hear some mods from you guys. I plan on putting together a order for this thing to set it up for next year. Suggestions?

Oh yeah my brother has the same bike that is also new. His had a clogged jet out of the crate. Mine seems like it does as well. What is Husky doing to these things before shipping them? I think they are letting motors sit in dusty conditions and running them without air filter or something. Also thinking they use strange fuel to test them. Not a big deal since I am getting into the carb to put a easy access fuel/mixture screw in it.

congrats dan,you will love the bike, try not to kill yourself till you get it broken in as its tough to not twist the throttle too much, zipty the battery in instead of the strap, you dont want it falling into the air filter

Thats a great bike, you should love it. As for crap int he carb i have seen a lot of plastic crap from the new tanks in the carbs. I run a fuel filter on all my bikes.

Love mine that I've had since september. One thing I've found is it needs a different mid-pipe gaurd. The one on it gets as hot as the pipe. I burnt a hole in my pants and melted a knee guard strap.
I got mine from P3 carbon fibre. Great product with good coverage and just gets warm now.

I forgot to mention that the bike is a 250TXC. I ordered a bunch of stuff for it a few days ago. So far I have a remote air/fuel screw coming for it, normal front axle nut, Uptite Y radiator fitting, carb vent canister kit. crossover hose from autozone, rad guards, F+R disc guards, oil filters, air filters. Now I am deciding whether I am going to go with Flexx bars before I order any bar/damper stuff. I have decided to break the bike in with the stock suspension including the stiff front .48's in the forks. Mine as well see how it is before swapping anything around.
I am racing my brothers bike this weekend in the last enduro of the year. His bike is already setup, heat cycled and has a few hours on it. I already won my class championship so its not that big a deal switching bikes for the last race. I have to tell you that I enjoy riding this bike sooooo much. I feel like superman on it. The only thing that has me alittle worried is that it doesnt have a damper. I havnt raced without a steering damper in a long long time. Really looking forward to this weekend though. It is going to be alot of fun!
