It is the boot at the carb/throttle body to head. I have found lots of replacement intake boots but I am not sure if any of them will fit. Could someone help me out with either the replacement sizes or part numbers please!
Have you tried husqvarnaoutlet.com? They have part fiche for most if not all Huskys. You can then order your part through one of the forum supporters, or any local current Husqvarna dealer.
Thanks for the website, however that website as well as all the others I have checked do not specifically state that it will fit my bike. I think from 06-09 the 610 was pretty similar but in 09 they swithced to EFI. I just wanted to make sure the boot will work on all years 06-09, or at least will work for my specific year 09.
Contact Bills husky, they will get you the correct one. By the way 2008 was the first year of fuel injection on the 610 in the US.
While these intake parts are sometimes hard to find, been temp fixing with a combination of Shoe Goo, and Flex Seal, combination of the 2 works for a long time. Take intake off clean with contact cleaner pinch so crack opens up with tooth brush /contact cleaner give a good scrub. Open the cracks by squeezing, apply Shoe Goo into cracks all around, light coat, let dry apply another coat, after cured spray a couple coats of Flex Seal ( on TV the guy that shoots holes in bottom of boat than seals it up) No results or answer as yet but have used Flex seal on good parts to see if it will help in the life of these synthetic petrolium parts??? Later George
The appropriate parts fiche are there: 2007 TE610, carb 2007 TE610ie, FI 2008 TE610, FI (I assume IE is not listed as it's the only variant) hmm, now I see your issue, you're looking for 2009... I'd be assuming, but I'd guess it's same as 2008.
Thanks for your responses guys! I did not realize that 08 was the first year for FI thought it was 09. I had been looking at the parts on the 08 fiche and when I called halls to order they confirmed that the 09 was the same part as 08. I am not 100% certain but I beleive that the 08-09 parts are compatible with each other. George are you saying that you have coated the new parts in flex seal to try to extend the life, and if that is the case how long has it held up and looked so far? Also thanks for the temporary fix tip George!
Older husky rider had the issue with replacement boots being just as old as the original on his bike. The rubber would separate where the flange is molded into rubber. George's way of fixing is your best bet if this is still the case.
