My 2009 te310 has been sitting for a few years. When I tried to start it, it had bad fuel and no luck starting. I went ahead and just replaced the fuel pump and regulator from ca cycle works, and replaced the fuel filter. Fired right up and idles perfect. Went for the first ride and it bogs on take off. I had to rev the shit out of it to keep it running when I took off. Once rolling it was just bogging like crazy. The bike is stock with open air filter cage, no exhaust cat. I am still running o2sensor.
Is there a intake sensor that needs to be cleaned?
Does it sound like I am having fuel starvation issues from a bad pump?

sorta sounds like a clogged injector.

I did take the injector out and used a 9v battery and used compressed gas and carb cleaner and it seemed to be spraying just fine. It was opening and closing very well. I am not a professional with fuel injection by any means. What is the best place to get a new injector, or is there any companies that rebuild/clean them?

if you saw a fine, even, foggish spray or say 4 distinct even streams (for a 4 hole injector) you're probably okay. You don't say where you're located but lotsa places clean injectors.

what is your fuel pressure? why did you replace your pump, regulator, and filter?

do you have a mouse nest in the filter or exhaust maybe?

I am located in Southern California. The intake and exhaust is clear, It idles perfect. When I tested the injector it had 4 solid sprays. I will check my fuel pressure over the weekend. I replaced the pump and regulator because I couldn’t get it running after it has been sitting. The pump came first and it still didn’t start then the regulator came today and it fired right up. Maybe my pump was still good. But I figured after sitting for a few years I would rather be safe to replace rather then have it fail on the trail.

    How about a TPS reset.

How do you do that? Is that throttle position sensor?

Yes you are correct. It is adjusted with i-beat.

Yes, this sounds exactly like you need iBeat and reset TPS and possibly the fuel setting..FB or CO depending on year.

Well after researching the ibeats thread it sounds like a trip to the dealer is needed. Unless someone is in the so California area that has the software and cable to help me out. I don’t understand why I would need to reset those setting when the bike ran perfectly fine before parking it. Is it because the new fuel pump? Or do those setting get changed with a dead battery and sitting so long?

Some others were saying that there is a second small inline filter the size of a eraser. Does anyone know where this one is located. I had cleaned all the lines with carb cleaner and my air compressor and they had no restriction.

some injectors have a small filter in them- but if you saw 4, even, strong streams... I doubt that's it. Check the spark plug cap to make sure it's on. Hell, stick a new plug in it while you're there. just for grins.

Check for split intake boot, idling fine and then bogging under open throttle sounds like too much air

So I checked the pressure with a inline gauge. I am getting mid 30’s on the psi, I have heard that it should be 43psi. Could it be a bad fuel pump, or bad fuel pressure reg. They are both brand new from ca cycle works. All the boots look to be in good shape as I have been working on it. I will double check them to make sure when I get home.

Hmmm. I got 52 psi on a new Ca Cycleworks pump on my 2013 TXC250. Are you measuring it between the tank and injector? Maybe the older bikes are regulated to a lower pressure than the 2013 models (Mikuni vs Keihin).

I have a spare used OEM pump and injector if you get stuck and need them for troubleshooting. Just send them back when you're done.

Edit: After writing this I recalled that the injectors are different. You have a 4 hole Mikuni and I have the 12 hole Keihin.

I wonder if the one I got is bad. I just emailed ca cycle works to see what they say. Thank you very much for the offer durtkillon. I might hit you up on that offer. We will see what happens.

PROBLEM SOLVED. The new fuel pump from ca cycle works is bad. Found out that my original issue was my fuel pump regulator. With the new pump and new fpr it would idle but not run with any throttle. So I put my old OE fuel pump back in the bike with the new regulator and runs perfect First test run around the town and it ran like it did when it was brand new!!

cool. what's your fuel pressure now?

...and any pics of your pump (old/new) or regulator?

Fuel pressure now is 42psi with the old pump back in. It barely fluctuates. The brand new pump was fluctuating as I rev it. The high was 36psi and low was 25psi. The new regulator was identical to the old one, if it wasn’t for the tarnish you wouldn’t even know the difference. As far as the fuel pump. They also were exactly the same, just different color, and different writing. But it appeared to be a very good quality.

this is great to hear Jason.

I'm not sure if you removed the stock o-ring from the fuel pump plate... but it looks like somebody has been "gooping" it up to prevent leaks. The o-ring is about 1/4" thick and a 5" oval. (maybe it stuck to the bottom of the tank??)

thanx for the pic and the report back- it will help future readers.
