You know what I really get steamed about is the absolutly amazing run out prices you get. The Aussie dollar is worth about 90 US cents so the TXC 250 would sell in A$ for circa $4780. We get the run outs at about 10K and new on road they are now about 14K which to you guys in the States is USD 12,600. What a travesty.

This has been pointed out before (by me) and I recieved quite an argumentative response from everyone. Glad to see there is someone on these forums that can add and subtract like me. The prices you guys pay is damned rediculous, but part of that price IS IN FACT mostly due to the the 2-year warranty you get. You ARE PAYING FOR A NEW ENGINE before yours breaks (if it breaks). I don't understand why you and I are the only ones that can add and subtract. We pay waaaay too much as it is, but you guys are getting creamed. I love my bike, but a $9,000 dirt bike is rediculous wether it's is dollars, pesos, crona, or those big round village stones...

its a good bit in europe anyhow considering the japanese stuff and ktms all retail around the same as husqvarna without the 2 year guarantee.

Ummmm, I'm about 100%... no 1000% sure the price difference is due to the warranty. Two years on ANY off-road vehicle is not just ridiculous, it's stupid. That's like offering a money back guarantee that every round of a 50 round box of 9mm ammo will hit the bull's-eye.

Is this some sort of Aussie government requirement that vehicles have these kinds of warranties?

    Just askin'.

It has ZERO to do with warranty, cos, Jap bikes cost the same in Oz as Huskys. No Jap bikes have any warranty.

in 450s, KTM, Yam, Honda, BMW, Husky run about the same dollars 12-14k, with Kawa quite a few K cheaper at 10k.

Support for Husky's in Oz is pretty poor. I needed parts, wanted to order over Christmas, bike shops are open but no husky parts from importer until after Jan 11th because they are totally closed.

Not great support from Husqvarna in Australia.
