Does anyone have any experience with pipe guards? The Moose universal is cheap enough but looks like it may be a crude fit. The carbon fiber guard I have on my GAS GAS is great but the carbon guards for the Husky are so pricey I may just let the factory pipe live dangerously and if it gets crunched I'll buy a guard for the aftermarket pipe I replace it with. Does anybody have a recommendation?

Ive got one of those metal ones on my 125 and I think its great
not sure what type it is - good fit though
It may not be the best looks wise but I like it - old school
Not a mark on the pipe and its been down a few times
Without one I would dent pipes regularly - not worth the risk
I wouldnt leave home without it:thumbsup:

That looks like the Moose guard that I can get for $45. Maybe a custom beating would have it fitting nicely. Did you have to do much to it or just clamp it on?

The P3 pipe gard is a good choice fot the rocky conditions. contact them they can tell you if the gard for the std. pipe will fit the aftermarket pipe.

bargain - I cant see you wouldnt have one
I didnt put it on but it doesnt move at all - gets a bit of dirt behind it
and to make it look real pretty youd need to take it off once in a while
    I havent

Just a tip. I run those universal pipe guards on my two strokes (the Maier ones). I usually start fitting the header end, clamp that and then use a rubber mallet to finish shaping the guard to the pipe, clamping along the way as I go.
