I was wondering if anyone has had to replace their plastic connection (the parts manual calls it a brake) between the lower and upper actuating arms of the power valve. Mine broke and I ordered a new one part number 8000 83115 but the replacement is almost twice as long as the original. I have checked the 2010 parts manual also to see if the part number changed but it is the same. Any insites would help.

    Thanks

    Chris,

The 125's used the same "brake" from at least 2000 to present. If the new one is too long then something is wrong. It could be one from a WR250. Can you take a pic and post it?

The original is about 70cm long and the new one is 115cm. Could this be for the 250?

    Thanks

    Chris,

The stock 125 plastic arm is ~ 60 mm center to center of the pins. So the 115 cm is for the 250 or 300.

I try to avoid snapping those apart in fear of breaking one. If I do, I use a set of needle nose pliers and pry equally underneath them, where it snaps on the pivot ball.
