How was the Husky turn-out this year for the race and the Ironman?

Still not enough in my opinion, but with that said there were a few, including at least one vintage left kicker!

When I was there in 2009, It was me and about ~2 others ... I was expecting to see several of the red&white newer models .. :( If you said you saw 10 Huskies there ... I'd be knocked over :)

I was out there for the poker run. I was going to run the race but ended up bagging that idea and went to Mattawa instead.

I saw Ioneater out there and he was planning on doing the race, Fitness2go was there as well but I did not run into him.

F2G and I did indeed attend the weekend events on our Huskies. My family and I and F2G complete the family poker run on Saturday. F2G hit the poker run loop again with other riders and had an oopsie, landing on a previously injured shoulder. I completed one loop of Sunday's Race and called that good enough for a 1st attempt. Whoops kicked my slow ass and I decided I'd like to finish the weekend being able to go to work the next week. Good learning experience and met a lot of new, cool people. Need to be in much better shape next time. I did pass a lot of people in the rocky sections and hill climbs, which I attribute to some experience from woods riding.

Saw several (4-5) red Huskies and at least that many yellow and blue. Didn't get to talk with any of them.

Jake spotted me wandering through the vendor section with my spawn in tow. Nice to meet the Crazy Dane!

Sweet and thanks for the report and all the pics ... It really brought back some memories ...

That race is so early in the year that it is hard to get any seat time in during the weeks leading up to the race due to the weather in WA .... But it will really pay off if you can ride at least the 2-3 weeks before the event ...

So you guys liked the performance of your bikes out there? I only rode my CR 2t out there and never got to ride the TXC there ... The trail looks very good in the pics ... a little moist and the dust should have been kept down at least on the poker run ...

PS -- yep, that is whoop heaven out there ... all sizes and shapes and no one can keep count on all of'em there are so many ... I finally learned to keep out of the main lines and just go to the extreme left or right of the trail to miss the knee deep ones ...
