O.K. Heres the questions.. The answer is the new Clarke tank.. but

When the low fuel comes on and there still is gas in the tank what is doing the reading to tell the bike to shut off or is the level of fuel too low for the fuel pump to pick it up.

I read the major post with the low fuel levels being inconsistant to others but looking to find the right answer to change a current situation

I'm seeing many different levels left in the tanks.. Some seem like 10 miles worth others it is a dribble.

The next would be how would you alter to make it take as much out as possible..

Last question.. Did anyone ever think their bike got more range from the bike by disconnecting the original dash from the system... Thinking that since it reads all the low fuel and other items they it may also shut the system off..just thinking

    Thanks,

    Hi Carl,
The low fuel light has no connection to the ecu to shut the bike off. All it does is bring on a light to warn of the low level. The reason different people have had various amounts of fuel left after the light comes on is because the sensor can be at a slightly different height in the tank. The fuel pump can also slip in the original housing causing it to stop picking up fuel even though there is some left.
The only thing shutting the bike off is the fact it has no fuel at the injector (or you pressed the kill switch).
    Regards,
    Clayton.

There is now the new style metal crimp clamp on the fuel pump and a tie also.. The sensor looked great as well.. We will see this weekend..

    Thanks again,
