Has anyone done a bladder conversion for these bikes with the reservoir turned sideways? If so what cap did you use? Just wondering if there is enough clearance to do it. I really don't want a shrader valve poking me in my leg. :D I did had the conversion done on my 09 with a KYB part my suspension tuner had laying around. It doesn't have the flush schrader valve so it is a no go on the new bike.

Here is what I have found available, just wondering if anyone has any experience with these.

I have read that the 2004 KX250f bladder cap will work, but that was in reference to the older vertical reservoir bikes. Racetech part number SMRC 46002. $29.99 I called racetech and they said they had no listing for these bikes, that doesn't mean much though. They probably just have not tried it.

Checkpoint offroad has one listed for GasGas, PART NO. 2307 SACHS SHOCK BLADDER KIT. Not sure if this will fit the horizontal res shock, looks pretty good though. PRICE: $57.00

Riders edge has one, Sachs bladder conversion kits for Husqvarna and gas gas. No price and their website is confusing, not sure I can even buy one from them.

Moto pro also lists one, looks pretty flush to me. Not cheap though. Price: $89.95 MPS Part #: IRBKSB88

WER has one too, cant find a picture though.
Bladder cap for Sachs Shock (Husky/GasGas) Replaces Standard Piston Type Nitrogen Seperator $69.95

Has anyone used any of these on one of the new bikes?

So you notice enough of a change doing this with your 09 to pursue this? Interesting.

Yep, it made enough difference to justify the cost. I was really happy with the rear at the hangover, there was times I was expecting it to step out and it just tracked. I was able to dial in the rear much better, before if I could get the shock to track through the rocks and be nice & plush I had trouble with it kicking really hard on g-outs and water bars. If I slowed down the rebound enough to stop the kicking it got harsh and pogoey in the rocks. After the bladder I actually went stiffer on the compression and slower on the rebound, it is still plush on the small stuff and doesn't blow through the travel and kick on the bigger hits. It is something I had always struggled with on the 125 sachs shock for some reason. My TXC and TC didn't seem to be the same, the TC did suck pretty hard though on the stock valving it almost pitched me over the bars a couple times. That was more on fast stutter bumps though, after the 3rd or 4th it would kick hard. That was fixed with the revalve, it was probably packing.

Really interesting feedback. Is the Ohlins stuff bladder or piston?

Those costs are relatively low, I might try it just to see how it feels. Hard to go wrong for like 30 bucks.

With regard to compatibility, you ought to just be able to measure the bore of the res on your shock and compare it to the bore on the parallel reservoir shocks. If they're the same, I suspect that the cap will fit, there aren't a lot of variables there (as long as the res is long enough for the bladder.

I think the resi is shorter on the turned resi models.

Usually there are multiple lengths of bladder available. so you just need to get the right length for the application.

46 mm bladder cap and an 88mm long bladder, there is plenty of clearance under mine I think it is from a Yamaha. It was something Dave Taxel had laying around.

    here it is...
Looks a lot like the one on my 2003 WR250f but I am not sure what diameter the Yamaha one is.

I am not sure on Ohlins, I think they are a piston. My suspension guy said the Sachs were almost an exact copy of an Ohlins inside.

The cost is 30 bucks is just for the bladder cap, the bladder is another 20-30 bucks.

Yes the bore diameter is the same at 46mm and as closely as I can measure the shocks on the bike the reservoir looks to be the same length also but it might be shorter. I will know more when I get it apart and off to my suspension guy. My concern is that the bladder cap will stick out too far and I will rub on it with my boot.

I ordered the racetech, will see how it works.

Got the Bladder cap, looks like it will be perfect as far as length goes. I should get the shock back tomorrow or Saturday, hope to test it Sunday unless I get lazy and ride my 125.

It fits! With a 46mm x 103mm KYB bladder. There is more room inside the 2013 shock than the vertical 2009 version. Looking forward to testing it out Sunday!

Matt is very good with Husky stuff and has worked with the local hot shoe who rode a Husky.
