250-500cc 2010 wr250 leak from gas cap??

    I have a 10 wr250 leftover I just bought first ride today,and its
    leaking fuel from the cap or top of the tank.when the cap is off the sealing
    suface for the cap gasket looks porous and uneven.anyone has any ideas
    let me know.are the stock caps just junk?

    Hi. I've a 2008 WR250 and unless the husky H is facing perfectly upright mine will leak fuel. It's not easy and you'll think you've got it tight enough but keep going.

    Replaced mine with an Acerbis large mouth, works great...

    Mine first leaked when I got it. I was a bit miffed to say the least but decided to pull the cap off and the rubber seal was not seated properly inside the cap. Once I seated it properly it has never leaked again.

    Had the same thing on my WR150. I just check it before I reinstall it after I fuel it up. I also replaced the stock vent tube with a shorty hose with a vent cap on the end. Looks cool and functions very well.

    i used a rubber oring try a local seal shop should have something mine was a bout 7mm thick with a 50mm od take your cap in for a fitment been using mine for two years and seals on 1.25 turns.
