    my speedo dont work... its not clocking up miles/hours either... how are these run?

    It should come to life once you start the bike, if not then either the wiring is damaged or the head unit has failed.

    it comes on when engine starts, but no speed is showing, it just stays at zero....

    The pick up lead that is by the front caliper may have too big of a gap or could be damaged. Someone else reported that theirs was too far away and wouldn't work.

    If the unit comes to life then it could be the pick up set up as lankydoug mentioned, the lead itself being broken internally or least likely the magnet has fallen out of the disc and the pick up has nothing to read.
