Took my first ride out in the desert near Ransdburg yesterday, sadly was there for work and not for pleasure. After a half day of riding my partner noticed this oil (see pics) collecting around the back of the rear shock. Looking at the shock, I couldn't see anything that would indicate it was leaking. I guess my first question, has anyone had any problems with the shock leaking oil. Second, is the oil that has collected around the base of the shock a result of it leaking or could it be from something else? If the shock was leaking, is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Looks like it is coming from the air box. If the shock was leaky the oil would not migrate that far.

The oil might come from the airbox specially if the bike has been upside down for any reason.

It's not sticky, but may be from the air box. I don't see any oil in front of the shock in the direction of the airbox. That is why I was concerned it may be from the shock. If the shock were to leak, would it come from the center of rod inside the coil spring? Thanks for your help!
