better quality: http://www.youtube.com/user/Skip0ne#p/a/u/1/Ipt8A-hBWzs The more I watch Stewart, the less I like him...
Why is that? I don't see that he did anything wrong and I like that he is mortal and beatable, racing is great this year.
On the replay, the first turn pile up is his fault...he then follows that by landing on someone just like he did last year in one of his last races. IMHO, he lacks respect for the other riders. It's beyond "aggressive" riding. And its not surprising that his brother took out Larsen in the Lites final as well...
I have to agree with TXC on this one... Stewart is going to eventually seriously hurt someone... he paid no attention to the rider ahead of him and it is his responsibility to pass in a safe manner. One of the first lessons you learn riding tracks... He was just focused on the fact that he had been lapped by Windham...wasn't paying attention or giving any heed to the other riders on the track.... if a lesser rider would have done that there would have been a suspension... Stewart should get at least a two race suspension for that.. T
Just wasn't one of Bubba's better days. Looked like his "traction control" he was accused of having wasn't working on the start! He broke loose out of the gate and never got it back and basicly went straight in the turn causing the big pile up. I think he is still the quickest indoor rider, but he has shown a history of making some stupid moves trying to make up time after falling. Go Dungey! GP
I guess U could say js7 should have did smething different as he was pinched at the corner pivot point but I'm not sure what he could do really ... He meet cr22 right there and just pushed him over ... Really just 2 old racing buddies ( lol ) meeting at the same point on a track ... I bet cr22 said " not him again " to himself ... His landing on the JT (who is out for ~2 months now with a bad knee) looked bad but I'm not so sure on that neither ... It's easy enough to say he should not have been in the same line with the slower rider and js has a history of jumping on people so he will be the villain .... don't think js has ever committed on what he saw ... JT said he just saw it as racing .... RV2 did a great job in getting to the podium ... It took the entire race almost to get through the pack ... DM is looking fast ... He's getting over that kidney loss it appears .... RD and TC put n quite a show out front ... They were all really hitting the whoops hard those last few laps ... KW has not said what happened yet as far as I know but when he lines up on the missed jump at ~8:37, there is a bike popping like crazy ... Next week will be really cool with RV2 having a slight cushion and js7 looking to close ... cr22 i'm sure is pissed also ...
Go Villopoto!!! And never forget I beat you at RynoLand............now for the rest of the story Riding around the RynoLand track on a DR Magazine day a while back and there was a fully decked out Villopoto on a really dialed clean done up Green bike, that we were passing more than a few times. So at the break we went over to Villopoto and checked in with him, he is a really nice guy and super friendly and man is that guy super proud of his grandson Ryan......the rest of the story. Go Villopoto, Ryan that is.
I don't fault James at all, he is a winner, and winners are going to give it their all, and sometimes they make mistakes doing it. This isn't church league soccer. I know what it is like to race at a top level(boats, not bikes) and you really don't have a lot of time to think about every line or manuever you do, you just do it. Is K.Wyndom OK?
I read that K-Dub had a slight concussion but is otherwise OK. JS just did a bonehead move following in the line of a slower rider. I guess he is still learning? RV is starting to show some maturity coming up from 12th without taking anyone out in the process. Go RV!
There were only 2 riders on a track as wide as my living room with js ... I gotta think that was a little-though-out move by js picking the same line as JT ... there was no pressure at that point ... no battling .... JT slowed slightly but this is exactly why you are not in his line ... RV will continue to tough to beat .... He has the speed and needs to keep it on 2 wheels ...
I am going to give Chad a thumbs up as he has ridden well and could have been another top 3 ride if not for Stewart . sure he looks to be going a little more steadily than the others - but some of them are teenie boppers and are very loose
watching it again - I do feel for Kevin Wyndham - it should have been his race - he lapped Stewart! and then threw it down - he is good to watch - smooth - Agree that RV should take it out from Stewart and Dungey
I prefer the smooth style and corner speed of Dungey, and his upstanding character and presence, but I agree Villipoto is looking good, kind of like a Carmichael clone, and he seems to be riding a little smarter. I give credit to Reed also, he has never been quite as fast as RC or JS, but he rides smooth and consistent, and he is still out there battling when he could have retired for lack of a good ride. K- Dub is another one you gotta like, very smooth, fast, and he has four kids! GP
Don't forget RD is in his second yr(defending his title) and TC is a rookie ... RV2 has been there 2 yrs? Very young crowd here .. Milsaps is looking alot better also ... CR is doing well also and I'm sure he will be on the podium again this year .... He still wants to win another championship ...
Dungey seems to be real quick out of corners he just carves em up - but must lose speed on the bumps bring on the next race!
I was sitting down low and close to a tight turn at atlanta SX last year and could watch styles real close. Most of the riders had a couple of seconds when there back tire was locked up from braking before they got turned and back on the power. R. Dungey made one seamless turn without locking the back tire and continuing acceleration out of the turn. I think he has been missing Roger Decoster a little, but think he is getting back on track now. I also have heard so much about K. Windham and is perfert style and could not see so much on tv, but after seeing him close up I now understand what everyone is talking about. GP
